Western Career College Names Dawn Matthews Director of Operations

SACRAMENTO, California -- May 5, 2008 -- Western Career College has promoted Dawn Matthews to director of operations for its eight-campus network.

Matthews previously served as operations manager at Western Career College (WCC). In her new role, she will work with the directors of eight campuses — five in the Bay Area — to oversee day-to-day functions within the campus network.

Matthews joined Western Career College in 1995 as admissions representative, and has worked her way upward to director of admissions, director of the San Leandro campus and then operations manager.

“Dawn has a passion for seeing students succeed and that quality comes through in everything she does,” said WCC President Jeff Akens.

A Hercules, Ca resident, Matthews graduated in 1998 from California State, East Bay with her MBA.
